As the managing partner and co-founder of Hilburn & Lein, CPAs, a full-service accounting firm in Las Vegas, Nevada, Gary W. Lein, is responsible for running all facets of the business. Gary opened the doors of Hilburn & Lein, CPAs along with co-founder, C. Steve Hilburn (1924-2016) in June of 1992. Gary has a proven executive management track record and over 25 years of experience in managing staff and assisting clients with all facets of their accounting needs. Under Gary’s vision and direction, Hilburn & Lein, CPAs has grown to a staff of 15 comprising of CPAs, accountants, and administrative staff which support over 2500 active clients.

Gary is regularly involved in strategic planning and consulting on business and personal tax planning for his clients. He develops both practical and tax-saving strategies for owners of partnerships, limited liability companies, and closely held corporations. Gary works with numerous closely held businesses to assist them with meeting business and family goals. Gary understands the nuances of taxation. Scrutinizing his client’s current tax needs, he presents each strategy clearly, thoroughly explaining each option and its ramifications so that his client can make the most appropriate decisions.

Gary was instrumental in starting and growing the Nevada Chapter of CAI (Community Associations Institute), a membership organization dedicated to building better communities, and remains an active member. He is currently a member of the AICPA (American Institute of Certified Public Accountants), the Nevada Society of CPA’s, and the FBI Las Vegas Citizens Academy Alumni Association – serving on their board of directors as Treasurer.   Gary earned his Accounting degree from the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire in 1984, relocated to Las Vegas in 1985 and received his CPA certification in 1991.

In his rare off time, Gary enjoys traveling, spending time with his family, and rooting for the Green Bay Packers.
